Executive Producer Allison Grodner: TWO Twists for Big Brother 13

With news that several past houseguests will be entering the game as ‘dynamic duos’, think Dick and Danielle from season 8, many questions were left unanswered. How many duos will be playing? With less than one week until the Big Brother 13 premiere (Thursday, July 7th at 9pm ET) on CBS, WeLoveBigBrother.com had the pleasure of talking with Big Brother’s Executive Producer, Allison Grodner. She shares with us details about the twist this season, which involves bringing back several pairs, or ‘dynamic duos’ from past seasons. Take a listen to the full interview below.

What to take away from our interview with Allison Grodner: (listen to full interview below)

- Notorious twosomes, power couples, and pairs from the past are possibly coming back
- The number of duos has NOT been confirmed and will be revealed on premiere night
- TWO twists going on which are part of the same theme

- The returning houseguests HAVE been chosen and HAVE been sequestered
- The viewers are NOT voting on CBS.com, rather just voicing their opinions
- Allison specifically mentioned Dan/Memphis , Danielle/Jason, and Marcellas/Amy
- The room we haven’t seen so far is the Have/Have Not room
- The cage around the spiral staircase does not lock and is just part of the design
- The conflicting HOH room pictures was simply a design change and does not involve a twist
A pic of Dan and Memphis was posted on twitter and i honestly dont think they will choose them or Marcellas i think they will stick with duos that are more recent and in peoples memory.Since majority of houseguests mentioned either in negative or positive light was Jeff and jordan,Evil Dick and Rachel and Brendon so it makes sense that they would bring on those couples then dig past years ago!

July 1, 2011 at 1:23 pmI wonder what the game twist is most of these HG’s dont look like they will do great on Endurance comps and thats saying stuff since BB12 houseguests except for Brendon,Andrew,Hayden when he wasnt throwing comps were any good at it!! I think except for the Brendon one and possibly the surfboard Rachel would have done great with the endurance comps! So i hope the game twist is that the HGs actually have to compete and not throw comps.

July 1, 2011 at 7:06 pmSomeone’s Twitter account being active doesnt preclude them. It has become apparant that different previous HGs twitter accounts are being posted by someone else. I.E. someone posting on Dani’s twitter mistakenly used Locker to post pics when she is known to use twitpic to post her pictures.
July 1, 2011 at 7:35 pmDick and Daniele: Dick’s FB account is currently down (yes, I am a friend), and what I have heard, so is Daniele’s. Daniele’s interviews on Superpass with Ragan (first one from her apartment — you can see it in the background. Background on the second one is a blank white wall and she is only on cam on Skype for a short time, then the cam is off, but she continues voice only. Thinking Donatos are already in sequester. Daniele’s next interview to take place on July 5, should be interesting)
Jeff and Jordan: Jeff hasn’t tweeted since June 29. Hoping he and Jordan are in sequester now.
Rachel and Neanderthal (pronounced NeanderTAL, of course): Who knows, or cares, but hope if they are in, Dick chews them up and spits them out, especially Brendan, ala Penisgate!

July 6, 2011 at 6:17 ami love big brothers me and my sister just watched the 1 episode and i feel if you keep bringing people back i hate it give somebody in that is new and let them play the game the way it was started now you have people on it that has already won i think there is people out there that can use the money the same wat with survivor it took boston bob 4 times to win i dont think it isfair 4 times and his now wife already won
July 7, 2011 at 7:01 pmI agree maryann. I too dislike seeing old players come back and play with new ones. If i see Russell or any other past player on Survivor this year i won’t watch any of it. The same is true with BB. i won’t be watching much until the past players are gone. I will check highlights to see who is gone but won’t watch the show until it isn’t like watching a re-run any longer.

My husband has a great Idea for a new twist next year.Each houseguest would pick a designated person to call if they win HOH.They would have 60 secs or 90 secs for their designated person to tell them what is really going on behind their back!! alliances or what ever.They dont need to tell other houseguest!!! Would be awesome twist!!! I ran it by my friends in FB Lobby 7.They loved the idea!!!
