Special Action-Packed Live Show on Thursday

Posted on: Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 9:37am

Thursday’s live eviction episode is guaranteed to be a busy one!  CBS released a press release with details about Thursday’s live show that will include the Power of Veto competition, the Veto Meeting, an Eviction, and a new Head of Household competition.

CBS was originally planning to have a double-eviction this Thursday, but with Chima gone, there is no longer a need to have this special eviction.  Instead, we’re still going to get an action-packed show with a lot of events occurring in the live one-hour show.  Below is the CBS press release:

The Power of Veto Competition; the Power of Veto Meeting; An Eviction; and the New Head-Of-Household Competition Will all Take Place LIVE During the One-Hour Broadcast

CBS’s BIG BROTHER will air a special one-hour show, featuring a LIVE Power-Of-Veto competition, a LIVE Power-Of-Veto meeting, a LIVE eviction and a LIVE Head-Of-Household competition, this Thursday, Aug. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

During last night’s episode, in the aftermath of Chima’s eviction from the house by the BIG BROTHER producers for a rule violation, Michele’s reign as Head-Of-Household had run its course and another HOH competition, the “BIG BROTHER Invitational,” took place. The backyard was transformed into a miniature golf course. The ultimate goal for each Houseguest was to putt a hole-in-one. If they missed, their ball landed at a revolving windmill with various point values assigned to compartments located amid the blades. All players, except for the current HOH, were allowed to play. In each round, the player who missed a hole-in-one and ended up with the highest number of points was eliminated. As consolation, the latest eliminated was able to pick a mystery prize (some good, some bad). Each time a player was eliminated, they could choose to keep their prize or exchange with another eliminated player’s prize.

Jordan was the last Houseguest to remain in the competition and became the new Head-Of-Household. At the nomination ceremony, she chose to put Natalie and Lydia up for eviction.

    Should be a good episode!
I don’t think its the most boring Big Brother at all,we’re all just used to the show and its ‘twists and turns’. We know what its about and maybe for some the novelty is wearing off.
They are pushing the audience involvement more this season, which I think is a step in the right direction.
I think they should also give America the option/vote on some of the comps and prizing. Smart houseguests could pick up on what we are thinking and knowing by some of the choices. Want ratings? Get us more involved!

Thursday should be good TV. This game could be turned upside down if Knat or Lydia get POV. Even if one of them goes home, the remaining HGs will be forming new alliances. The game goes on.

Who knows, maybe someone will be coming back for a second try? God I hope it won’t be Jesse or Ronnie.

It would be amazing if Kaysar or Janelle came back Fred!!!!! Just don’t bring jesse back ever again. I think Dick would be a good one to bring back too, he was crazy. I deeply hope that “Knat” doesn’t win the POV. This week has gone great, I hope it continues and natalie goes.

Jessie is a fool, and was voted out twice. He can’t come back, America hates him, he’s a jerk. Lydia would love to be voted out so she can be alone with Jessie. Knat needs to go first, she is so annoying. I can’t listen to her anymore. She really thinks she knows everything, she’s a big mouth and a nosey Knat. Evil Dick was great, Jessie is just stupid not Evil. P.S. Keep the faith, Knat has never won a thing, she is just as useless as Jessie and Lydia!!!!

Ugh, anyone but Janelle. I hate her with a passion. I’d vote for Evil Dick if Chima was still in the house. If she thought Russell was bad, she should meet the Evil One!

God if only they could bring back Kaysar or Janelle! But that’s not going to happen…. they are almost going to have to bring SOMEONE back to make the jury house an uneven number. Thank GOD Chima is gone, she had to have been one of the most mentally unstable people ever. I hate Jessie and Ronnie, if they come back I will scream! I think Knat needs to go this week, Lydia can’t do jack herself, but then neither can Knat. Seems like Jessie left and they all crumbled. Personally I want either Jordan or Jeff to take home the prize, those two in the finals would be the best scenario out there.

I read janelle’s twitter page, she’s rooting for michelle. She makes no mention that she is coming back, even though that would be so cool!

Most boring season ever? Not even close, have you forgot season 6 I think, when all that was left was the Nerd Herd and poor Janelle. Then once Janelle was gone it got even more boring. At least now you have Lydia going insane, Natalie whining, Kevin trying to figure out what he will do. And don’t forget Russel is still in the house, and he is a firecracker waiting to go off. When it gets to Jeff/Jordan/Michelle then it will be boring.

Not at all boring! The game is really good. Although Lydia is gone & took her emotional baggage with her, there is still Russ. He is totally unpredictable. Yes, I agree with an earlier comment. He can go off at any moment like a firecracker, and I’m sure he will real soon. He has a problem keeping his mouth shut & his emotions in check. Given the chance, he will self-destruct.

I was thinking about Jeff’s notorious move and I really think he
is setting himself up for failure because Natalie and Kevin are lying through their teeth, and Russell was realistically looking
at his plans for the final two. Jeff was not including him in
his final two plans, so Russell was right to try to negotiate a final two with Michele. He was forth right about it, Jeff should
have taken his word on it…..maybe Jeff will rethink his strategy
    and take Natalie out instead.

The best T.V. ever would be 7 great winners ( one being Dick ) and 7 loud mouth high egos ( one being sheila).
