Big Brother house? Find out in our exclusive interviews.
WeLoveBigBrother.com -- Mike Dutz, 26, the third houseguest to get the boot from the Big Brother 8 house, broke his silence Friday, literally, speaking to WeLoveBigBrother.com about how his quiet strategy may have backfired.
"I think people were really threatened about me being quiet," he explained. "They thought I was very suspicious and probably up to no good and were definitely thinking I was trying to fly under the radar."
Mike, who was put on the block by Dick for showing his loyalty to teammate Kail, said his plan from the beginning of the game was to be truthful and play with integrity.
"I absolutely thought there is certainly a way to make it to the end and maintain those values," he said.
Unfortunately, the alliance he remained loyal to in the end was the same one that may have cost him the game.
"Had I had it my way, I certainly would have never entered into an alliance so early on," he said. " I really wanted to fly solo as long as I could. I kind of felt forced into that alliance when Kail had won HoH and picked me out. And I felt if I had turned her down that she would view me as a threat in doing so, potentially be up on the block the very first week."
With Dustin the Head of Household this week, Mike said he thinks Zach and Jen will be the obvious two targets, although that is not who he hopes joins him next week.
"I would really like to see Dick leave," he laughed.
The America's Player twist also came as a surprise to Mike, as he said Eric is doing a good job at keeping it under wraps.
"It's such a great twist, [I] never would have guessed it in a million years," he said. "But now that it was revealed it makes sense. I can now kind of remember certain situations when Eric seemed a little peculiar at times with things that had come up. So it makes sense that he was chosen to be [America's Player]."
In the meantime, Mike said his plans after the show are very similar to the one's he had before being a houseguest.
"It's just going to be getting back to my every day life and enjoying my time," he said.
