offering a place in the next series of Big Brother are to be
released inside the wrappers of special KitKat chocolate bars, in a
contest reminiscent of Roald Dahl's book Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory.

In the
2005 film version of the book, Johnny Depp played eccentric
chocolate mogul Willy Wonka, who hid golden tickets inside chocolate
wrappers in order to pick out an heir to his sweets factory.
In Big
Brother's version of the game, one member of the public will be
chosen at random from the hundred ticket winners and invited to join
the Big Brother household.
Davina
McCall, who hosts the series, will reveal full details of the
contest in a special launch show on May 18.
The
tickets were delivered to a secret location this morning under tight
security.
Special
KitKat bars will be distributed to 40,000 stores nationwide and go
on sale from 10.30pm on May 18. The competition closes on June 2.
A
Channel 4 spokesman said: "This is a first for Big Brother. Nothing
on this scale has ever been tried before in a reality show.
"We are
always looking at new ways of trying to find brilliant housemates
and the golden ticket feels like a genuinely exciting way to do so."
