Big Brother 12 on CBS Casting Begins (Updated)
The casting process for Big Brother 12 has officially begun! That can only mean BB12 on CBS is right around the corner! Casting call dates and video submission details are now available.
Fans of Big Brother who want to give the casting process a shot are encouraged to audition. You can audition in person at an open casting call or submit a video. For video submission details, please visit CBS.com.

Here are some important reminders from the official BB12 Casting Twitter account (@BB12cast):
- BB12 home tape deadline officially extended to April 23rd. Spread the word & get working on those home tapes!
- HOME TAPE TIP- Unless specifically asked by producers, there’s no need to submit multiple home tapes. We watch EVERY tape. 1 is good.
- HOME TAPE TIP- Make sure you label your actual DVD/tape as well as packaging. We’ve rcvd quite a few w/ no name on them
- IMPORTANT TIP- When submitting BB12 home tapes BE SURE U watch the DVD/tape before sending to check audio & picture is actually there.

Hi I sent in everything express mail, but after reading this, it talks alot about dvd’s, but as I understood it on the application requirements, it could be on vhs tapes as well no 8mm accepted. Does anyone know for sure if vhs tapes are allowed? I’m also going to a casting call the 16th, so hopefully either way I will get a chance to be picked.LOL, “ANGELWINGS”
Great, they finally put the casting call for spartanburg on here, that is the town I live near it’s only about 35 minutes away. MAN, I am so excited for these casting calls. I’ll be in Atlanta, GA on Sunday for the casting call there. I cannot wait. This will be my fourth time auditioning. I’m going to bother the good folks at CBS until they get tired of seeing my and just decide to let me in the house.

However, we have been together since we were 15.I also have 2 teenagers. I’m a common housewife from a very small town. I left a message on another post, was wondering on the open casting calls do they just let a certain number of people audition or do they let everybody that shows up? Also, mine is at a bar, is the audition in front of the whole bar or is there privacy? If anybody has the answers to these questions it will help me out tremendously! I just read through your posts and you certainly are determined. I wish you the best of luck! I have not auditioned for BB, but I did for Survivor and heard nothing back. The best thing I got to do was be in the audience during an eviction night. I shook Keesha’s hand when she exited out of the house on the way to sit down with Julie. It was surreal, but I can’t even imagine being able to play the game in the house. That would be a dream come true. Oh well, best of luck to you and I hope to see you on CBS come July.
@Jackson– Thanks for your support! That is awesome that you were actually in the audience and shook Keesha’s hand. If I don’t make it in the house I could never even get close enough to L.A to even do that. I started to try out for survivor a few yrs. ago, but I figured why should I sit in the woods & wipe my behind with leaves when I could live in a nice house and eat real food(most of the time)! The game is basically the same! I have confidence that I would be good at it. I am definitely a people-person, but I also know what to do and what not to do! We’re all a little crazy…Big Brother will do that to you! I only started watching during BB6, but it instantly became my favorite show (beating out Survivor because of the fact that it is live and not predetermined). This season should be fun…just as long as they don’t bring back Jesse again!

What do you think the twist will be this year? I’m hoping they do away with that coup de tat. I thought that way too big of an advantage for Jeff and Jordan last year. Even though I couldn’t stand Chima, I didn’t think it was right that she won HOH and had no power in the house. For the last several years, I have been in a pool for suvivor and big brother. Each person gets one pick and the winner gets a gift card from the rest of the losers. No one had won until last year when someone picked Jordan at the beginning of the season, so I am still bitter at the fact that one of the least deserving houseguests in BB history got the winning prize. I had Lydia, so I guess I had no chance to win anyway.

@Jackson– I don’t know, but I wish it would be something that I could participate in so they would pick me!!! They should put spouseses in the house & then suprise them with their partner, who they would be thinking is at home watching them on the show! That might be interesting!!! @Angelwings… Oh Yeah. Will and Boogie really showed a new way the game can be played. I also liked watching Jeff and Jordan. They were also just on the Amazing Race. Maybe someday I will try out. Too much responsibility at this time to just take the time off.

I too am a HUGE BB Fan and would love a chance to be in the house and compete! I am a southern girl who has a lot to say!!! Maybe Big Brother needs me to join in and shake things up abit?
