Less than a week before the two-hour finale of “Big Brother 11,” CBS is already making plans for Big Brother 12. The network announced today it has ordered another edition of the hit reality series for broadcast in the summer 2010.
The three-times-a-week series has once again turned into a summer sensation, growing its audience both on-air and online for the CBS Television Network and CBS Interactive platforms.
BIG BROTHER 11 is one of only a handful of programs to post growth in its 10th season. Compared to last summer, BIG BROTHER 11 is up +7% in viewers (7.08m from 6.60m), +4% in adults 18-49 (2.5/08 from 2.4/07) and +5% in adults 18-34 (2.0/07 from 1.9/06). Each of the three weekly broadcasts are also posting summer-to-summer growth.
Online, BIG BROTHER 11 is the Number One show on CBS.com and across the CBS Audience Network in all key metrics with 25% more unique users and 94% more video streams than last summer. CBS.com also logged a record 11.6 million votes when Jeff was awarded the “Coup d’etat” Power.
BIG BROTHER concludes its 11th edition with a special two-hour LIVE finale and reunion show, hosted by Julie Chen, next Tuesday, Sept. 15 (9:00-11:00 PM ET/delayed PT) as the Final Three (Jordan, Kevin and Natalie) face off for the $500,000 grand prize.

If Big Brother 12 is going to be anything like this season, “You can count me out” !!! Thoroughly disappointed with the overall content. If I knew it would’ve turned out this way, then I think I would have preferred to see Chima stay on-board.
You know, i thought about this from the first episode of BB… all of these cast members this year are complete idiots… It says on the application you have to be 21… why did no one bring this up when nat said she was 18…

Did anybody notice at the bottom of the post it says ” the final three will face off for the $500,000 grand prize on Tuesday Sept. 15″. If this is true that could mean they are only going with a jury of 5 which could be good for Jordan if Jeff, Michele, and Russell vote for Jordan. Although there could still be a tie if 2 vote for 1 person, 2 vote for another and the last vote for the other, i.e., votes for Jordan-Jeff & Michele, votes for Kevin-Lydia & Russell, leaving Jesse as the lone vote for NataLIE
If that happens then they could have a revote with the houseguest receiving only one vote no longer eligable for the grand prize essentially evicting that person in the example above that would take NataLIE out of the running forcing Jesse to vote for either Jordan or Kevin. Of course in a revote anyone can change their vote if they chose to
BIG BROTHER’S motto”EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED” Well there really hasn’t been anything new this season The Coup’de Tat threw the houseguests for a loop but really wasn’t unexpected Chima’s actions and punishment were unexpected to everyone including the producers, but that wasn’t planned So maybe something these last 3 shows is going to happen that will blow the roof off the Big Brother house. Figuretivly, not litterally.
No matter the out come of this years GAME I will still be watching next year. To all you cry babies out there if you are not going to watch please stop posting on here.

I think BB 12 should be all of the past winners. Then America should vote on their next 10 favorite house guest. The top three vote getter should get to go on the show for a total of fourteen house guest and the show would be called BB 12 Ultimate All-Stars Or BB 12 Past winners/Americas favorites. That to me would be a great show.

I have watched every season and am excited to hear that it will be on again. BUT please CBS and Big Brother, please change the house around. That house is soooo boring. You have to be able to find something else exciting to do INSIDE. We loyal watchers want to be surprised at a new inside the house next summer! Thanx Big Brother for a great summer show!

How about a celebrity edition? Of course no A-LISTERS would want to do a reality show, but if the producers use a similar formula as DWTS they could get some recognizable names. Or use former SURVIVOR contestants on BIG BROTHER.

The house needs a makeover. It’s boring and this season was the worst ever. You guys need to be more creative. The sleeping quarters were horrible. Too ugly to even watch. Stop with the “banana” suit & unitard. It’s stupid.

It’s not practical for CBS to do a fall or winter edition of BB they already have Survivor(which is still more popular) and Amazing Race(which isn’t going anywhere as long as it keeps winning EMMY AWARDS for Best Reality Show). The only reason CBS did a winter edition of BB a few years ago was because of the WRITER’S STRIKE, which was a better alternative to constant reruns
I love BB. It’s the only reality show I watch besides Project Runway. Please bring Jeff back -actually you should consider putting him on a CBS show,he’s that good. I’m glad Jordan and Jeff won some money. I enjoyed going on line and voting for various things and thought it was a good idea to have America’s Vote at the end. This can take the popular allience out of just voting their friend the winner. I felt bad for Michelle because she was never able to make a “strong” allience during the show. I wish BB was on twice a year, I can’t wait until next year.

I think they should make a winter season. A lot of people love to watch big brother so they should do a summer season then after survivor and the amazing race end they should have a winter season so that all people that love big brother could see the show twice a year. I LOVE Big Brother. Me and my family has been watching since season 9 and grew to love it. Also, I really hope they have a winter edition I mean it was great. Hi everyone, I have watched bigbrother scince the very first season. Will was brilliant. It has been my dream ever scince to get on the show. I printed an application out off the internet 2 days ago and filled it out. now, I have to make a great video, make 2 perfect pictures of myself and send evrything in. Watching Team JJ on Amazing Race will tide me over until BB12 begins. On dates, don’t the summer seasons usually begin in early July? I think in the past they have. I really hope it is fresh new blood on the show. The only type of All Star season I am interested in seeing would be an “Enemy Mine” twist, where enemies from previous seasons are forcibly paired for the first part of teh season. They have to rely on each other in competitions, and when evictions come, 2 pairs are nominated. Another twist would be that 2 players are evicted, 1 from each team. So, they would have to rely on each other to win competitions, BUT they would also have to undercut each other to stay on the show! What do ya’ll think? Wouldn’t that be a hoot? My nominees for enemy pairs would include
BB8 – Dick and Jen
BB9 – Chelsia and Natalie or James and Matt
BB11 – Casey and Ronnie

Last night (Feb. 23) it was advertised that Big Brother will be run in March. How come you do not have the cast members listed yet? Why is you website not up to date?

Hi again! I finished all of things I had to do to send in my entry. I made a great video that represented not just me but my hometown. Took 2 good pictures. Finalized my application. And last but not least, thursday Jack Roper was at my town doing a food drive. So, I went door to door getting items for him. I took them to him and he even let me get on the news with him. He also told me about a last-minute casting call they are having near where I live on the 16th. So I plan to be the first one in the door. Good Luck to everyone. Hi ther Angela. No worries about being proud of who you are and what you have done. I wanted to audition (or submit my materials) for BB 12 but I put it off (I run a very busy business – does that sound weird?) and just did not have the time to put into the process so I was resigned to applying for season 13 (lucky 13!). Then after some random search in the BB world, I came across the announcement that they extended the deadline! Woo Hoo! I am so excited about the open casting call. I can hardly wait. There are two that will be held within 50 miles of my house so I am thinking about going to both. I have alot of dedication and energy although not so much free time so maybe I’ll only subject them to my audition once. I have the completed application and the two photos. But I am wondering…if we audition in person, do we still need to submit the DVD? Does anyone know the answer to my question? I have a cute idea for my DVD (catch their attention in the first 10 seconds!) but I would have to get it done immediately and it may cost me some $$ to do it the way I would want to. Any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone has an amazing time with their audition. May the best potential houseguest be recognized!
Hi, Daisygirl thanks for your comment. As well, I also found out that there is gonna be 2 casting calls close by, and I’m going to do my best to get to both. For my video that I sent in, I started by getting a shot of the Famous Peach Water Tower, that our small-town is known for. It’s really big, then I got a close up of 12 posters that I created myself by hand, one even had the mayor’s autograph on it. Then, for the interview part, I stood in front of an American Flag for the backdrop and simply told them a little about me, my family, and why I could be the next Big Brother! I told them I could be known as the Evil Dr. Will, trapped in a woman’s body. My nickname could be Evil-Nurse Angela!HA!HA! I’m a very friendly, outgoing people-person who is always looking for a good time.I’m a simple 37 yr. old housewife with 2 kids just trying to show the world there is more to me than you may think.Anyway, I wish you the best of luck. Good evening all. I have my pictures ready and my application done but I’m just not sure about the video/dvd. I’m thinking if I go to the open casting call (or two!), then I don’t have to do the recorded message. I think I am just going to call the casting agency in the morning and ask. (I’ve been going back and forth all weekend and my husband finally said “just call!”, so I will – what a good idea). The casting call in my area is on Thursday and I think I’ll be ready – hair and make up scheduled (I NEVER wear make up) and spray tan tomorrow (never did that before – will I turn orange – look like an ompha lompha!) – so much effort…I know it will pay off! Can’t figure out what to wear. I’m not very “fashion forward”. I will figure it out. I know not to wear white (old stage/pagent advice) but not sure from there. Maybe “skinny” jeans, cute strappy shoes (need a pedicure – put that on the list) and what top? Who knows? Just too much to ponder…oh what a world! Sweet dreams…

Hi Daisygirl, I would still make a video and send it in. This is your way of being creative.As far as wardrobe, dress to impress! Keep in mind though you want to wear something that is true to yourself. Don’t pick something just because you think it will stand out. Remember, they want to get an idea of the real you. I am going to an open casting call for BB in a couple of weeks and was wondering if they accept everybody or do they only choose a certain number of people that are in line first? Also, the one I’m going to is at a bar, do you have to do your interview in front of everyone there or is it private? I’m getting so nervous but I am sooo excited I’ve wanted to audition since the first season but this is the first year that my life has co-operated with me!
@Jenniffer– Hi, I attended one at Spartanburg, SC last Friday. It was supposed to be from 9:00am-12:00. However, they extended it until 2:00 and as long as you had everything with you(pic.s, application, and copy of license or social security card, they let you be auditioned if you were in line before 2:00. I guess it’s different everywhere. Also, the one I went too was held in a private room with a camera setup, held by a cbs news station. They counted you down and you had 2 minutes to tell why you wanted to be on the show, etc. I hope this will be helpful to you but Matt is the one who could probably answer your questions better than me. @Jen– Thanks for the support. I think the show will probably start sometime in July, but nobody ever knows for sure about anything until they broadcast it. Did you try out this year? It was really fun trying out. Although I did spend many sleepless nights sitting up making signs and posters, I spent almost 3 months working on this project. I’ve been reading the comments here. I’m an “OLD” fan of BB. I’m much to old to be on it, (56) and not in good enough health, but do love to watch everyone and root my favorites on. I think it would be fun to see one of the seasons use us “older” folks instead of the young ones. Bet we could give them a run for their money. I even watch the Showtime After Hours feeds during the nights when BB is on. Hope you get on the show Angela. Keep us informed.

I thought about trying out for Big Brother this year, but didn’t. hmmmm, maybe next year I will try out… If I made it into the house, I know I would be the last one standing! I am very competitive and HATE to lose at anything! LOL I would have so many people in there fooled about me and at odds with each other! They would never suspect that I was the trouble maker…LOL I am very good at fooling people and deceiving them. Not that that is how I am with my friends, but it is just a game and I would be there to WIN by any means possible.

However, My son & I were on a website one night and they do have a BB Celebritie show, I thought it aired on channel 4 or some other channel. It showed the house, and it was awesome. Everything was really nice, they had cool furniture, and cool paintings and memerobilia on the walls. They had a big fireplace and cool spiral stairs with flames on them. The colors were burgundy, black, white & orange. They even had this big picture that said ” PAPPARRAZZI!” on the wall. It would be nice if they would make the regular bb house that nice. Please reinvent Big Brother some and let the housemates nominate people each week to be evicted and let the public vote. Big Brother UK has it right! Or let the HOH nominate one person for eviction and then let the other housemates choose the other two people to be evicted. Then let the public vote. HOH and POV are fun but it gets old. Also, do not announce who has been put up for eviction until after the POV competition. This way, all housemates will work there hardest to try and win the POV, even the HOH. Then only allow someone to use the POV on themselves if they have been nominated for that week. Lastly, give the housemates more alcoholic beverages so it isnt so tame. Think of the real world except no one can leave the house!
I never did like bringing back somebody who played and lost but some of the HG never had a real chance to mingle or have time to really play the game because the NOM from the first HOH, They got the boot before anybody knew anything about them, but it is a game and part of it is to stay till the end hope the jury house picks them for playing a good game and We the Viewers can’t change that in hopes that our favorites make it to the end, and also :The show is a good place to watch a limited amount of people and we sometimes know what happens in the house behind closed doors, but the forums are what really bring out the worst in some people, I don’t care where you go when it comes to forums there is always a jerk that wants to start S**t ,Bring up the race card etc, and it does not make a difference who your favorite player is ,it won’t be who they are for, those people who do that need to get a life.It’s just a game that all BB fans watch and comment on, So Let the show start July 8th. I can’t stand Monet – I really, really can’t stand Monet. She is nothing more than a spoiled little B****. She is conceded and thinks that she is better than everyone and made me want to puke when she was going on about how Rachel is jealous of her. Britney is second on my list of not liking, but I think (and hope) she’ll get better now that Monet is gone. Rachel has the most horrible laugh in the world which kills me to hear! She is everything I can’t stand, yet I seem to want to see her succeed. Then again, I think I just really want to see Britney and Monet fail so perhaps when they are both gone I will not care about Rachels fate. I like Matt, but I think it’s bad Karma to tell everyone that your wife has a horrible disease. Although, I do love when he commented that Andrew is a shoe salesman, and should be easy to fool…After all it’s not like he’s a doctor…HAHAHA. Enzo gets on my nerves as well, Kathy I forgot was in the game, I like Hayden, Lane and Ragan. As for Kristen the boat is still out for me, along with Brendon.
